Luisa Gonzalez is a Tattooer and illustrator born in Monterrey Mexico, raised in Austin, TX. She started her tattoo career in 2018, and is now a full time tattooer at Great Wave as of 2022.
Luisa’s inspiration comes from a background of charcoal, scientific illustrations, metalwork, and ceramics/sculpting. Most of Luisa’s work is influenced by Medieval or Tolkien like imagery, as well as classic black ink tattooers such as Freddy Corbin and Bob Roberts. Having grown up with Mexican culture, traveling, and Texas traditional tattooing, her work blends both chicano fine line and traditional styles to create lifelong designs with plenty of black ink.
